Jeremy Dance is young, rich, and tough. It’s the summer of 1939 and the United States is far from the turmoil of Europe, yet Jeremy Dance Restorations has plenty of cases to investigate. “I restore things;” says Jeremy. “Sometimes it’s missing objects, sometimes it’s missing persons, and sometimes it’s missing clues in a case of murder. I restore reputations and peace of mind to my clients, and my services don’t come cheap.”
Jeremy solves two straightforward cases, but when Jeremy’s former stepmother goes missing, suspicion falls on Jeremy’s father. It’s up to Jeremy to find out what happened to the missing woman, but perhaps there is more to the case than he first realizes.
Later on as Jeremy sails away on a research expedition to the Caribbean, he is called on to write up a report when one of the passengers suffers an accident. But was it an accident?
With travel to Boston ,Philadelphia, Maine, Cuba , Jamaica, and Newport, Jeremy and his crew of colorful characters will have a summer they won’t soon forget.

Wind in the Sails A Jeremy Dance Mystery Jeremy Dance Mysteries Book 4 edition by Stephen Stanley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Don't waste your money,
Don't waste your time
Have you ever watched one of those stilted 1930s movies with the wealthy characters, who have African-American servants and a German or Asian chef, etc etcetera, living in a gilded world far removed from real life during the great depression? This is the same tired, boring genre in written form
Stephen Stanley's books are always a great read. Always look forward to the next in each of his series as well as stand alone novels.
It's hard to fault Stephen Stanley for his writing. If you want some fast-paced fun with a light and breezy feel, he's your guy! It's like Murder She Wrote for the M/M set. He definitely moves the story along very quickly and it's perfect for when you don't want to be bogged down in details. Fun, fast, and enjoyable. I do wish after all these years he'd learn that the bubbly stuff from a specific region in France is CHAMPAGNE and that CHAMPAIGN is a city in Illinois. Minor editing issues but they're easily overlooked.
It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it.
Jeremy and crew at their best. Sun, fun and murder. Stephen Stanley has provided another great mystery with An entourage of great characters.
Jeremy is a chip off the Sherlock Holmes block set in historical Boston.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and choose it as a continuation of the series. I plan to follow Mr. Dance and friends as they move about New England and the world.
Stephen Stanley is a great author, these books get u right into the story, enough detail to be accurate, overall very good series.
